Untold goes Kilimanjaro

We are in Tanzania working again on ‘The Taste for Tanzania’. A coffee-table book about a road trip through Tanzania with chef Axel Janssens sharing his favourite recipes. The first days of our adventure took us to Simba farm. 

A working farm and lodge situated on the rolling hills in West Kilimanjaro with breathtaking views of Mount Kilimanjaro. This lodge is family owned and their hospitality is hearth warming. 

We were originally planning to mount the Kilimanjaro. Unfortunatly, Axel had surgery on his back last year and the docters ordered him to stay off the Kilimanjaro. But making a book about Tanzania without this great mountain is not an option. A helicopter was the perfect solution.  

Today we are preparing a trip to the south, where we will live and cook together with the Hazabe tribe. They are the last full-time hunter-gatherers in Africa. And we are very excited to meet them!
